Exactly one week has passed since my blepharoplasty.
I got to start wearing contact lenses again on Sunday. But that was the day that the bruising was at its worst, and I looked like I had been on the losing side of a boxing match. (For those of you considering this surgery, I would recommend using those ice packs for the full 48 hours as suggested by the doctor!)
I decided to go to Target and Safeway anyway. There were longer-than-usual stares from some people. I left my husband at home, so people wouldn't assume the worst. But still. I know what I would have been thinking....
The stitches came out this morning. By tomorrow, I can start wearing makeup again. Easy, breezy.

Thanks for sharing...You're so brave. I got my eyeliner tattooed last year. I had to go in twice (2nd time for a touch-up and to thicken the line....that was more than enough for me!) I tend to rub my eyes alot, so it's nice for my makeup to not flake off or smear all over my face. Glad that the stitches are out...you can now go back to looking 21 again! :D
